Our Mission

Strengthening the Heart of Mendon

The Mendon Community Business Association exists to promote business growth, create meaningful networking opportunities, and foster a supportive community for entrepreneurs in the Hamlet of Mendon.

We believe that when local businesses thrive, the entire community benefits. Our members aren't just business owners—they're neighbors, friends, and active participants in making Mendon a special place to live and work.

What We Do

Our Four Pillars

01. Promote Local Business

We actively work to drive customers to Mendon businesses through our directory, community events, marketing initiatives, and the beautiful illustrated hamlet map. When you shop local, you're investing in your neighbors and community.

02. Create Networking Opportunities

Through monthly meetings, member mixers, and community events, we provide regular opportunities for business owners to connect, collaborate, and refer business to one another. Some of the best partnerships start at our events.

03. Foster Social Connections

Running a business can be isolating. We create a welcoming social atmosphere where entrepreneurs can meet their neighboring business owners, share a meal or drink, and build genuine friendships beyond just business.

04. Share Knowledge & Support

Through speaker sessions, open discussions, and peer-to-peer support, members share ideas, struggles, and experiences. Whether you need advice on marketing, hiring, or navigating challenges, our community is here to help.

Our Story

A Community That Grows Together

The Mendon Community Business Association was founded by local business owners who recognized that the historic Hamlet of Mendon deserved a strong, organized voice to promote and protect its unique character.

What started as informal gatherings has grown into a thriving organization of 25+ member businesses, hosting three major annual events that bring thousands of visitors to our hamlet, and providing year-round support for entrepreneurs of all sizes.

Our goal is to grow to 40-50 active members while maintaining the close-knit, supportive atmosphere that makes MCBA special.
